🎙Read excerpts from the statement by Permanent Representative of Russia to the OSCE A.Lukashevichin response to the Statement by Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria Ms.B.Meinl-Reisinger (meeting of the OSCE PC, October 23, 2025) 🇦🇹 We expect that Austria will do everything possible to ensure equal and unhindered arrival in Vienna and access to the Ministerial Meeting for representatives of all participating States, thereby upholding its reputation as a respected and recognized international venue. 🤝 The tools of classical diplomacy are in demand now more than ever. The complexity of a problem often determines the difficult path toward its solution — the “magic pill” has yet to be invented. ☝️The existence of contradictions should not lead to mutual alienation or blocking of dialogue mechanisms. ❗️Western countries’ attempts to accuse Russia of an unfair approach with regard to Ukraine are unfounded. We consistently propose not palliative measures such as freezing military actions, but only a comprehensive settlement that includes eliminating the root causes of the conflict. 📈 The volume of accumulated problems within the OSCE is enormous. Under their weight, it has been pushed to the sidelines of international processes. 🌐 The OSCE has a chance for revival, but only if the Organization adapts to the changed geopolitical realities. These realities are such that the Euro-Atlantic concepts of security and cooperation have discredited and exhausted themselves.
