🎙Read excerpts from the statement by Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the OSCE A.Volgarev «On the report of the Coordinator of Economic and Environmental Activities» (meeting of the OSCE PC, 27.11.2025) 💬 In general, the ongoing work on issues of good governance and the fight against corruption and money laundering, strengthening trade and transport connectivity, and promoting transport corridors in the interests of interfacing integration processes in the Eurasian space correspond to our priorities in the second "basket". 🔻The OSCE's economic and environmental dimension is now "poisoned" by the Ukrainian issue, and its practical work has dramatically degraded. An exclusively anti-Russian agenda is being promoted in the second "basket" under the auspices of the Finnish Chairmanship-in-Office. 🔻The only official event, the OSCE 2025 Economic and Environmental Dimension Implementation Meeting , included a number of off-the-agenda speeches clearly aimed at denigrating our country. 🔻The Economic Coordinator's activities continue to be skewed in favor of implementing extra-budgetary projects, which are often politicized and go beyond the existing mandate. 🔻The Ex-B project "Assessment of the environmental impact of the war against Ukraine and options for remediation" fulfills a Western order to maximize the "inflating" of the alleged damage in order to justify the theft of frozen Russian assets. 🔻Instead of solving the task set by the OSCE decision-making bodies of strengthening cooperation between participating States in overcoming and minimizing the effects of climate change, a confrontational and scientifically and practically unjustified agenda of climate and various aspects of security nexus is being promoted. 🔻The illegal unilateral Western sanctions and the Russophobic agenda of the Finnish Chairmanship in Office have largely devalued the economic and environmental basket. It will not be easy to restore the lost trust and restart work based on unifying principles.
