Director of IACIR spoke at the CAMCA forum IACIR DirectorSanjar Valiev spoke at the plenary session dedicated to Central Asia and Afghanistan. During the speech, a comprehensive assessment of the development of the situation and long-term trends in the neighboring country was given. Uzbekistan, as a key regional participant in the Afghan settlement, pursues simple and understandable goals in the neighboring country: 🔹maintaining stability and security; 🔹implementation of strategically significant projects; 🔹formation of transport interconnectivity; 🔹solving cross-border issues on the bilateral agenda. It was noted that in the short and medium term, it is important for Afghanistan's neighbors to maintain working contacts, participate in international dialogue, ensure border security, prevent the activities of terrorist organizations, and develop economic and humanitarian cooperation. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the socio-economic situation in Afghanistan should not be allowed to deteriorate.
