The State Duma will discuss the development of energy projects in Africa On July 25, the State Duma will host a "Strategic session on legislative support for economic cooperation with African countries in the energy sector." During the event, legislators, representatives of major companies, officials and experts will answer questions regarding systemic barriers that trouble implementation of joint projects and which measures can be proposed to support and stimulate Russian energy companies to effectively implement infrastructure projects on the African continent. One of the main objectives of the round table is to identify current problems and barriers that impede implementation of energy projects on the territory of the African continent. Approaches to international cooperation in the framework of energy projects will also be developed. The event is organized by the Expert Council on the Development and Support of Comprehensive Partnership with African Countries of the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation A.M.
