❗️Fergana Region Specialists Strengthened Their Skills in Effective Communication and Mediation 🔶The project “TRUST – TogetheR Unite efforts for regional StabiliTy” is funded by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ). Capacity building for civil society organizations and stakeholders in the Fergana Valley is one of the key indicators of the project The latest training on "Effective Communication and Mediation Skills" took place on April 9–10 in Tashkent, targeting CSOs and members of local advisory groups from Kuvasoy and Besharyk districts. 🔷The event was opened by Tatyana Zaichenko, Head of the DVV Branch in Uzbekistan, and Lea Tries, representative of the EU Delegation in Vienna, who expressed confidence in the project team's ability to effectively implement the initiative in the cross-border areas. 🔷Over the course of two days, participants enhanced their competencies in effective communication and mediation—critical skills for preventing and resolving conflicts. The training was facilitated by experienced expert and trainer Nadir Irgashev. 🔷The intensive programme of the training enabled participants to: • Discuss the importance of identification of communication barriers rapidly; • Explore various styles of positive communication; • Practice the newly acquired skills in real-life scenarios. ☑️The project continues to evolve, therefore efforts in this direction will be maintained.
