📕Russian Foreign Ministry has prepared the Report “On the Human Rights Situation in Ukraine”.
🔹The document highlights that the already dire state of affairs deteriorated dramatically in 2022. The systematic suppression of human rights, opposition and dissent in #Ukraine has evolved into a deliberate policy of the #Kiev authorities.
🔹 Since 2014, the Kiev authorities have been doing their utmost to aggressively “ukrainise” all areas of public life aiming at totally eradicating the Russian language and the Russian identity.
🔹The Kiev authorities have been consistent in their efforts to glorify Nazism and cover up the crimes of Ukrainian Nazi collaborators portraying them as members of the “national liberation movement”.
All its blatant violations remain unnoticed by the West for the sole reason of them being targeted against Russia.

📰Article by H.E. Mr Anatoly Borovik, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Cambodia, published in “Khmer Times”(February 28, 2025)
Key points:
⚫️The roots of the current crisis of international relations extend beyond the borders of the conflict in Ukraine. The key goal is to establish the system of indivisible security for all. Russia has consistently advocated for such a system, but, as the saying goes, it takes two to tango, and NATO turned out to have two left feet.
⚫️We urge those who speak of the so-called “Russian aggression” to revisit 2014, when radicalsseized power in Kiev through a coup d'état. <…> The people of Donbas, forced to defend their rights, proclaimed the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. Kiev opted for military force, launching punitive operations against the civilian population of Donbas as early as summer 2014, deploying aircraft, artillery, and tanks – all in spirit of the figures Ukraine’s new leadership sought to idolize.
⚫️The image of Russia as an enemy was purposefully ‘moulded’, educating the younger generation in the spirit of hatred of everything Russian.
⚫️Throughout the operation, Russia has repeatedly reaffirmed its willingness to engage in peace negotiations – provided that its interests and the realities on the ground are taken into account.
⚫️The revitalization of the contacts between Russia and the USA does not cause Zelensky to take advantage of this opportunity. On the contrary, he continues the rhetoric of inflicting defeat on Russia while sending Ukrainians to certain death in the attempt to preserve his power. However, there is no doubt that the objectives of the special military operation outlined by our President will be definitely achieved.
⚫️Russia's victory will put an end to the conflict in Ukraine, and mark, as 80 years ago, a new era in the history of mankind – the era of a multipolar world.

Maria #Zakharova:
🔵The lion’s share of responsibility for the crisis lies with the #NATO member countries, which encouraged and supported #Kiev’s Russophobic policy and not only recognised, but orchestrated the anti-constitutional coup in 2014. The official statements by Ukrainian politicians about seeking nuclear weapons were the last straw.
🔵The goal of the special military operation is to protect the residents of the #DPR and #LPR, to demilitarise and denazify #Ukraine, to eliminate the military threat to Russia emanating from Ukraine due to it being settled by NATO countries which flood Ukraine with weapons. It is not designed to occupy Ukraine, destroy its statehood, or topple its government. It is not directed against civilians. We have to go over the same things time and again in order to counter the vast amount of disinformation and classic fakes developed by Western intelligence services in the corresponding Western media.

🎙Following the EAEU summit, President of Russia Vladimir Putin answered questions from Russian journalists
📍 Minsk, June 27, 2025
#EAEU
As for the outcomes of today’s EAEU summit, we are satisfied with the results and have drawn certain conclusions.
The President of Belarus has already noted that our development strategy, which was designed to run until this year, is nearing completion. We are considering how to structure our joint efforts moving forward. However, overall, the results of our work cannot but satisfy us. They satisfy all of us. Why? Because the key aggregate indicator of economic performance is the growth rate.
In the EAEU, it exceeds the global average. As is known, global growth stands at 3.3 percent. The EAEU’s growth is over 4 percent – significantly higher. In some countries, it is substantially greater, reaching 5 percent or even approaching 6 percent, in my view. This is, among other things, a direct result of our joint efforts, as the very purpose of our work is to eliminate trade and other economic barriers to cooperation. Without exaggeration, this multiplies the potential for economic growth.

Regarding the memorandums [Russian and Ukrainian], as expected, there were no surprises. I will not tell you anything surprising, either. These are two absolutely opposing memorandums, but that is precisely why talks are set up and held – to find ways to bring positions closer. The fact that they were diametrically opposed does not seem surprising to me, either. I would not like to go into details, as I believe it would be counterproductive – even harmful – to get ahead of the talks.
With regard to what has been achieved so far following the talks, I think you can see it for yourself. Today, if I am not mistaken, another exchange took place… or was it yesterday? Today, right? And this is important. The humanitarian aspect matters because, as diplomats say, it creates conditions for substantive discussions on core issues. We agreed that after completing these exchanges and the humanitarian operation which we proposed – specifically, the transfer of the servicemen’s bodies – we would press ahead with more contacts.
We have already handed over more than 6,000 bodies and are ready to transfer nearly 3,000 more, but it is now up to the Ukrainian side to agree to accept the remains of their fallen soldiers.
We agreed that after this phase is completed, we would hold the third round of talks. We are ready for it overall. The venue and the time need to be agreed upon. I expect President Erdogan to keep unchanged his supportive stance with regard to this process. We are very grateful to him for that. We stand ready to hold this meeting in Istanbul. As for the exact timeframe, the heads of the negotiating teams from both sides – who remain in constant, direct contact and regularly get on the phone with each other (which, I believe, is a good sign) – are discussing the date for the next meeting.
The agenda? In my opinion, the discussion should focus on the memoranda from both sides.

We are planning to cut the defence expenses next year and the year after, as well during the next three years. The Defence Ministry, the Finance Ministry and the Ministry of Economic Development have yet to reach the final agreement, still, in general, everybody is thinking along these lines. And Europe is thinking about raising its defence expenses.
So, who is getting ready for any aggressive actions, us or them?
Yes, we do want to complete the special military operation with the result we need. Certainly. This is what we take into account when planning our defence expenses, not aggressive aspirations against Europe and NATO countries. And we want to decrease the expenses, while they want to increase them.

🗓 Today, February 12, 2025, marks the 10 years since The Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, aka Minsk-2, was signed.
📄 This document became the result of the Russian diplomatic efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. The 13-point plan prescribed step-by-step actions by the parties to the conflict, starting with an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire and the withdrawal of heavy weapons, and ending with constitutional reform in Ukraine and, significantly, the restoration of control over the state border by Kiev on the first day after the local elections. The UN Security Council unanimously adopted resolution 2202 (2015), which called for the full implementation of these measures.
✍️ Also on February 12, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, President of the French Republic Francois Hollande and Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Angela Merkel signed a declaration in which they stated they “will remain committed to the implementation of the Minsk Agreements”. However, only Russia proved to be faithful to the reached accords.
❗️ In February 2022, many Western politicians suddenly “remembered” the existence of Minsk-2. However, by that time, these measures, having been ignored by Western “guarantors” and the Kiev regime, had lost their relevance. Vladimir Putin then explained that the Minsk agreements were “killed” by Kiev even before the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics were recognized.

• Restoring our dialogue with President of the United States Donald Trump is a natural step. Importantly, both Sides are willing to move in this direction despite the many challenges and the divergence of our national interests on several, if not most of the international matters. We need to hold meetings and treat each other as well-educated and polite people by listening and hearing each other.
• The sincere desire to transition to normality shown by President Donald Trump is met with resistance after recent political upheavals that have rocked the Washington-based elites. They are preparing some moves behind the scenes, using their lobbies and the media. Their aim is to prevent President Donald Trump from mending relations with Russia and putting them back on track as they should be between two great powers and between all countries, for that matter.
#NATO#Ukraine
• International humanitarian law explicitly prohibits placement of military facilities and weapons in or around civilian sites.
• Since the onset of the [Ukrainian] crisis, there have been countless instances of artillery and air defence systems deployed in [Ukrainian] city quarters next to kindergartens. The internet was full of videos showing Ukrainian women yelling at the military telling them to leave retail outlets and playgrounds, but they keep doing so to this day.
• We have verified information about who was inside the building that was struck in Sumy. It was yet another gathering of Ukrainian military commanders alongside their Western counterparts operating under the guise of mercenaries, or someone else.
• NATO military personnel are there and are directly in charge of the operations. Everyone is aware of that. Even The New York Times has reported that U.S. military staff have played a central role in orchestrating attacks on Russia from the outset. Without their involvement, the vast majority of long-range missile strikes would never have happened.
• President Donald Trump has repeatedly stated that the decision by the Joe Biden administration to drag Ukraine into NATO was a major mistake. Among other things, it served as a trigger, or one of the triggers, in terms of what is happening today in Ukraine. President Trump has recognised in public several times that he viewed this as one of the root causes.
#UkraineCrisis
• Speaking at the Russia's Foreign Ministry on June 14, 2024, President Vladimir Putin laid out a clear framework for a lasting, reliable and just settlement [of the Ukraine crisis] which would primarily focus on fulfilling the interests of the people and ensuring that human rights are respected <...> as per the UN Charter.
• For us the future of the people is what matters most, and saying the territorial integrity of Ukraine cannot be violated means letting Russians, the Russian-speaking people who escaped from the Nazi regime end up at the mercy of these beasts.
• All peacekeeping “arrangements” painted by “macrons” and “starmers” seek to preserve at least a small piece of land as home to the blatantly Nazi and Russophobic regime designed to be used for preparing another war against Russia. This poses a major challenge for the West’s reputation and credibility.

🎙Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s interview with RIA Novosti(November 9, 2025)

#RussiaUS#NewSTART
❓ Question: President of Russia Vladimir Putin announced that the Russian Federation is prepared to continue adhering to the restrictions established by New START for one additional year, starting February 5, 2026. Has there been any response from the United States? Did Moscow propose a meeting with Washington to discuss the post-New START period? If so, at what level?
💬Sergey Lavrov: The constructive initiative put forward by President Vladimir Putin in the post-New START context speaks for itself. It contains no hidden agenda and is perfectly clear for understanding. Its practical implementation would not require any special additional efforts. <...>
The only thing required is reciprocity from the United States: we will voluntarily adhere to the restrictions only if, and precisely for as long as, the other side does the same. <...>
So far, there has been no substantive response from Washington. We have been informed through diplomatic channels that “the issue is under consideration.”
We have no intention of keeping persuading anyone. We believe that our step serves the interests of both parties and the entire international community. 👉 We are ready for any development of events, while hoping for a positive outcome.
#Ukraine#RussiaUS
❓ Question: What is currently the main stumbling block in the negotiations with the United States on a settlement around Ukraine? Where is Russia ready to make concessions and where is it not?
💬Sergey Lavrov: <...> We are currently awaiting confirmation from the United States that the Anchorage agreements remain in effect.
I would emphasise that, despite their essentially compromise nature, we have not abandoned – and do not intend to abandon – the points that are fundamental for us.
❗️ No one disputes the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation or the choice made by the residents of Crimea, Donbass, and Novorossiya, who made their historic decision to reunite with their homeland through the referendums in 2014 and 2022. We likewise do not forget the need to eliminate the root causes of the conflict.
#EUthieves
❓ Question: What will be Russia’s response if the frozen assets of the Russian Federation are directed to support Kiev?
💬Sergey Lavrov: <...> Such actions amount to outright deception and theft. It seems that the long-dormant instincts of colonialists and pirates have reawakened among Europeans. No matter how the scheme for seizing Russian funds is presented, there is no lawful way to carry it out.
The confiscation of our gold and foreign currency reserves will not save the Europe’s protégés in Kiev <...>
Russia will respond to any predatory actions appropriately, in accordance with the principle of reciprocity, our national interests, and the need to compensate for the damage caused to us. We hope that Brussels and other Western capitals will still come to their senses and abandon this ill-advised venture.
#RussiaUS
❓ Question: When and where could a meeting between the Russian and American delegations on mutual “irritants” take place? What about your meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio? When and where might it be held?
💬Sergey Lavrov: There are indeed many irritants in Russia-US relations, most of them inherited from the previous US administration. It will take considerable time to clear up this mess. <...>
From our perspective, it is important that this dialogue should not be limited solely to embassy-related issues. We consider it essential to address broader questions, including the restoration of direct flights and the return of Russian diplomatic property. <...>
Secretary of State Marco Rubio and I share an understanding that maintaining regular communication is essential, both for discussing the Ukrainian issue and for advancing the broader bilateral agenda. We remain in contact by phone and are prepared to hold in-person meetings.
