My job is to keep things fair while still being able to give opportunity to those who are new to the canton ecosystem - yes, unfortunately farmers as well. Okay based on everyone's input this is what we will be doing as far as roles go: **OG Roles:** There will be no more giving out OG roles but I will not be doing a "purge" as much as i want to. Instead, I'll check into users who have not been as active on X, Discord or TG or whom have not really been interacting in the ecosystem and not give them the opportunity to win rewards as easily apart of the competition we will be announcing tomorrow. This way it makes it easier on our team to be able to handle these users. With that being said, occasionally we will be checking around the parameters I just set and remove OG roles from users who haven't really been around. For instance, we had some OG's asking some questions like "how do i participate in the ecosystem." OGs have been around since early september, there is very little to no reason OGs should be asking this. So roles get removed. Everyone will still have an opportunity in the various raffles and competitions but they will all be judged precisely. If you were here before the date mentioned here https://discord.com/channels/1379531004116471878/1407804584990216283/1417517175463346226 then i will not remove your role because, i mean, even if you havent been around this date was when we were *actually* early. **Content Creators:** We will be creating this role and i will be trying to judge everyones submissions as fairly as possible. I may not get everyone immediately so give me time but i will not be able to just go *poof* "here's a role." Now with that said, we will be giving you guys some opportunity in the upcoming competitions we will be announcing so you can feel like your contributions matter. **Ecosystem Projects:** We won't be allocating roles to ecosystem projects because, well, there are over 200 in the ecosystem and if we start with one, it won't be fair to others. We don't want to create an environment within Canton Network where it feels like we favor wallets, institutions, exchanges, etc. **User Activity:** User activity is not a primary focus of mine, but quality is. I'm a big believer when it comes to **Blockchain**, not just crypto, that we build it together. I'm not gonna change that now. I won't reward spammers, but i do care about users helping eachother. Our mods will be giving out "opportunities" to users who are actively engaging in meaningful ways (like helping users around the ecosystem or creating things in the ecosystem; whether its daml, apps, content, and so on for example) so that way we can continue to build a thriving community. Canton's community should care about itself, we know how many trash companies/projects don't so let's please be a differentiator for as long as we can. Again, __spammers are not welcome.__ **Secret Roles:** We will allocate more secret roles to the community, capping it at 625-675. We will give it out to various community members as we see fit who *earn* the role. Whether that's helping out, consistently creating quality content, or participating in events. For instance, i will give out secret roles in this event https://discord.com/events/1379531004116471878/1436742766133514290. **New Roles:** With the way people have reacted to the roles that are currently here, i don't want to dilute the system anymore and find a new reason for users to feel like they arent being treated fairly. __No new roles unless i've mentioned it here__ Please do not ping me to say thanks, or that you disagree with this post.
