Motion Photos Support in Telegram In the Beta version of Telegram for Android 12.6, it is now possible to send and view motion photos. The concept behind these shots is that the camera in this shooting mode simultaneously records a short video without sound — usually 1-1.5 seconds before and after pressing the shutter button. Different smartphone manufacturers name motion photos differently, for example, Top Shot on Pixel, Motion Photos on Samsung, Live Photos on iPhone, and Dynamic Shots on Xiaomi. In the messenger, such images are marked with a special icon. All users can view the new media type, even if their device's camera does not support recording the "motion photos". Tags for Regular Group Members In the Beta version of Telegram for Android 12.5, it's now possible to assign tags to group members without administrator rights. Additionally, users can edit their own tag next to their username — for this, the group permissions must have "Edit Own Tags" enabled. Tags have also received visual changes: custom tags still display as plain text next to the username, while admin and owner tags now have a colored outline.
