February 12, 2024, the Russian Ambassador to Eritrea H.E.Mr.I.Mozgo visited the South African Embassy in Asmara and held a conversation with the Ambassador of the South African Republic H.E. Mr.P. Kumsha. The sides discussed the preparation for BRICS events as part of Russia's chairmanship in this interstate association, the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, exchanged the views about the situation in the Red Sea region, the actions of the coalition led by the United States against the Husites in Yemen. The Ambassadors also discussed the situation in the East of Sudan and the possible spreading of the conflict near to the Eritrean border.
