🇷🇺🌍Russia is steadily carrying out the free supplies of wheat to Africa, head of the Russian Grain Union says All commitments have been fulfilled. Around 200,000 tonnes of wheat have already been delivered to African countries, with a total volume of approximately half a million tons expected, according to Arkady Zlochevsky, the President of the Russian Grain Union. Zlochevsky also mentioned that the termination of the grain deal did not harm anyone and, contrary to analysts' forecasts, wheat prices have actually fallen. In fact, the cessation of the deal has resulted in a significant gain due to the reduction in the discount for Russian sales, which amounted to $1.2 billion. The Black Sea Grain Deal, which was launched in July 2022 and involved a corridor for ships carrying Ukrainian grain, and a provision for free export of Russia's agricultural products came to an end on July 18 last year. Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly pointed out that the West exported a large portion of Ukrainian grain to their own countries, and the main goal of the deal - supplying grain to countries in need, including African nations - was never realized.
