⚓️ On April 6, 2026, a detachment of the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy comprising the two corvettes, “Sovershenny” and “Rezky”, entered the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port to pay an unofficial three-day visit.
Representatives of the Ministry of National Defense of the Kingdom welcomed the ships at the pier. H.E. Mr Anatoly Borovik, Russian Ambassador to Cambodia, participated in a solemn greeting ceremony on board the corvette “Sovershenny”.
“Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my gratitude to all officers, warrant officers, petty officers and sailors for their commitment to the important mission of ensuring the security of the Russian Federation and protecting its interests. I hope that all of you will demonstrate the best qualities inherent in Russian naval personnel, being capable of tackling complex tasks under any circumstances and serving as role models. It is necessary to do everything possible to ensure that the St Andrew’s flag always flies proudly across the vast expanse of the World Ocean,” stated the head of the diplomatic mission in his remarks.
🇷🇺🇰🇭 The command of the detachment paid protocol visits to civil and military officials of the Kingdom, Russian sailors explored the sights of Sihanoukville and played a football match with their Cambodian colleagues. Officials from of the Ministry of National Defense and servicemen of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, as well as students and teachers of the Russian Embassy School went on a tour of Russian warships.
The port-call was crowned by a reception aboard the corvette "Rezky" that took place on April 7. H.E. Mr Anatoly Borovik and his Spouse, H.E. General Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense of the Kingdom, H.E. Captain 1st rank Andrey Gaevoy, Commander of the detachment, H.E. Mr Meas Kim Heng, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom, and other dignitaries attended the solemn event.
On April 8, the corvettes departed from the port to continue their expedition.

🎓 On March 29, H.E. Mr Anatoly Borovik, Russian Ambassador to Cambodia, participated in Russian and Soviet Alumni Reception.
“Education has always played a significant role in our bilateral dialogue. A clear illustration of this is the fact that, over the past decades, more than 8,000 Cambodian citizens have obtained degrees in various fields from our educational institutions. We remain fully committed to ensuring that as many Cambodians as possible have the opportunity to study in Russia,” stated the head of the diplomatic mission in his welcoming remarks.

🇷🇺🇰🇭 On February 25-26, Moscow hosted the Future Technologies Forum. H.E. Mr Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of the Kingdom of Cambodia, participated in the event.
🌱 On February 26, H.E. Mrs Oksana Lut, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, met with H.E. Mr Dit Tina to discuss the development of mutual trade in agricultural products, cooperation in the scientific and technical sphere, and agricultural education. The parties touched upon issues related to the export of Russian veterinary vaccines, cooperation in the field of genetics, breeding and seed production, as well as the training of Cambodian students at Russian agricultural universities.

👨🎓 On February 12, H.E. Mr Anatoly Borovik, Ambassador, paid a visit to the National Technical Training Institute of Cambodia, where he held talks with H.E. Mr Yok Sothy, President of the organization, and H.E. Mr Seng Sakda, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training. H.E. Mr Gnel Rattha, President of the Association of Former Cambodian Students from the Soviet Union and Russia, also joined the meeting.
The parties discussed prospects for developing exchanges in the field of vocational education. Yok Sothy conducted a tour for the Head of the diplomatic mission, recounting the history and main achievements of the educational institution headed by him.

🎄 On December 24, the Embassy hosted a friendly New Year reunion of Russian and Soviet university graduates.
In his welcoming speech, H.E. Mr Anatoly Borovik, Ambassador, highlighted the unique role of educational projects in the dialogue between Moscow and Phnom Penh.
“We are proud of Russian educational institutions, which offer high-quality education in a wide range of fields. It is encouraging that young people across the Kingdom show a keen interest in studying in our country,” stated the Head of the diplomatic mission.
In response, H.E. Mr Gnel Rattha, President of the Association of Former Cambodian Students from the Soviet Union and Russia, emphasised that the education obtained in the USSR and Russia had made an invaluable contribution to the construction and development of modern Cambodia.
The event was attended by H.E. Dr Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts of the Kingdom, Patriarchal Exarch of Sout-East Asia, Metropolitan of Singapore and South-East Asia Sergiy, prominent public officials, workers of science and culture of Cambodia, as well as diplomats of the Embassy.

⚛ On December 18, the 4th Meeting of the Cambodia-Russia Joint Working Group on Cooperation in the Use of Atomic Energy for Peaceful Purposes took place in Phnom Penh.
🇷🇺🇰🇭 Representatives of the State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom,” Ministry of Environment of the Kingdom and other relevant Cambodian authorities and institutions, as well as diplomats of the Russian Embassy took part in the event. A number of questions was discussed, including legal and regulatory framework development, cooperation in the field of personnel training and education, including cross-university interaction. The Russian side shared its experience in conducting events aimed at raising public awareness of the benefits of nuclear technologies and non-energy applications of peaceful atomic energy.

🎄 On December 17, a New Year's Eve friendly meeting was held at the Residence of H.E. Mr Anatoly Borovik, Russian Ambassador to Cambodia.
In his welcoming remarks, the Head of the diplomatic mission highlighted the results of the Russian-Cambodian dialogue, recalling the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations, which our countries will celebrate in 2026.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to further deepen our bilateral dialogue and implement new initiatives,” the Ambassador concluded.

🎙 On December 16, H.E. Mr Anatoly Borovik, Russian Ambassador to Cambodia, held a briefing for representatives of ministries and agencies, public organizations, think tanks and mass media of the Kingdom.
The Head of the diplomatic mission touched upon the outcomes of Russia's foreign policy in 2025. Special attention was paid to the development of Russian-Cambodian dialogue, prospects for settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, as well as the EU’s sanction pressure. The Ambassador commented on the escalation of the border conflict between Phnom Penh and Bangkok, expressing hope for the early resolution of all disputes at the negotiating table.

📆 On December 12, “Study in Russia” online webinar was held. The event aimed at familiarizing young people of the Kingdom with programs offered by leading Russian universities, as well as the details of obtaining educational scholarships from the Government of the Russian Federation.
H.E. Mr Anatoly Borovik, Russian Ambassador, addressed the participants with opening remarks.
