🎙 Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova’sresponse to a media question regarding the investigation into Westerners’ war crimes in Afghanistan (December 2, 2025) ❓ Question: Some media outlets, including the British channel Sky News, have reported new evidence of crimes committed by NATO forces during the occupation of Afghanistan. How would you comment on this? 💬Maria Zakharova: Indeed, according to reports, during the ongoing investigation in the United Kingdom, witness testimonies have been recorded – including from British SAS special forces personnel – indicating that between 2010 and 2013, members of this unit participated in extrajudicial killings of Afghan civilians, including minors. For example, in 2012, during a night raid in Nimruz Province, two teenagers were shot dead. “Preventive” shootings of men of combat age were carried out, which is also indirectly confirmed by the discrepancy between the number of executed individuals and the weapons seized from insurgents. It is noteworthy that some British SAS servicemen tried to alert their command about what was happening, but their reports were ignored, and the atrocities continued. ☝️ We once again call on official London not to cover up these shameful facts from the history of the Afghan campaign, to carry out a thorough and objective investigation of all cases of violence against the Afghan civilian population, and to hold the perpetrators legally accountable.
