Attention to citizens of Sweden planning travel to the Russian Federation As of 1 February 2026, Swedish citizens travelling to Russia are required to have a valid medical insurance policy issued by an insurance company included in the Register of the All-Russian Union of Insurers (VSS Register). The Register of insurance companies is available at: https://ins-union.ru/vss/members/ The insurance coverage must amount to no less than EUR 30,000. This requirement also applies to entry on an electronic visa (e-visa) obtained independently by Swedish citizens via the official website for submitting e-visa applications.
