✨️ Today marks the 115th anniversary of the birth of the renowned Pakistani poet, Faiz Ahmad Faiz. He was one of the most popular Asian poets in the Soviet Union. As early as 1960, poetry lovers in our country were introduced to his Urdu works in Russian translation. 🏅 Faiz's significant contributions to world literature and his efforts to promote cultural dialogue between Eurasian countries were highly regarded by citizens of the USSR and recognized by Moscow. In 1962, the poet was awarded the Lenin Prize "For Strengthening Peace Between Nations." His lines and the meaning embedded in them resonated with Soviet and later Russian readers. Books by Russian authors about the poet's life and work can still be found on the shelves of Russia's largest bookstores today.
