✨️ On February 17, the Russian Center for Science, Education, and Culture in Lahore hosted a seminar in honor of the 115th birth anniversary of the renowned Pakistani poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz. 💬Ambassador Albert P. Khorev delivered a video message to the attendees, noting the poet's popularity in the USSR and the significant impact of his works in bolstering national liberation movements against colonialism in Asia. The event was attended by Kashif Manzoor (Director General of Libraries Punjab), Iftikhar Bukhari (President of the Russia-Pakistan Friendship Forum), Shahid Hasan (Ambassador of Russian Science and Education), Ashraf Nizami (Head of the Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia and the CIS), as well as representatives of the academic community of Lahore. 📚 The speakers paid tribute to Faiz Ahmad Faiz's poetry, personality, and progressive ideology. Participants noted that the Pakistani poet's works, which extolled the values of peace and love, instilled hope and courage in readers. 🤝 In conclusion, Shahid Hasan stated that the Center is committed to playing a positive role in strengthening the friendly relations between Russia and Pakistan and helping the people of both countries learn more about each other.
