✨️ On February 23, the Embassy and the Defense Attaché's Office hosted a reception celebrating Defender of the Fatherland Day. 🫡 It was attended by Ambassador Albert P. Khorev, Russian Defence Attaché ColonelVadim Fenchenko, Embassy staff, Pakistani military officers, members of the foreign diplomatic corps, and high-ranking guests from the host country. The Chief Guest of the reception was Air Marshal Shakeel Ghazanfar, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff. 💬 In his opening remarks, Ambassador Khorev informed the guests about the history of the holiday and the glorious victories of the Russian army and navy, noting the outstanding commanders Alexander Nevsky, Alexander Suvorov, Mikhail Kutuzov, Georgy Zhukov, Konstantin Rokossovsky, and Alexander Vasilevsky. ❗️The Russian Ambassador emphasized that despite unprecedented pressure and opposition from the collective West, the Russian armed forces continue to play a key role in ensuring security, protecting the civilian population, and defending Russia's right to an independent path of development. 🤝 Colonel Vadim Fenchenko underscored the systematic nature of Russia-Pakistan defence cooperation, which serves as an important tool of fostering trust and predictability in international relations.
