🎬 On February 26, the Russian Embassy in Cambodia organized a screening of a documentary ‘Ordinary Fascism’ to mark the #DefenderOfTheFatherlandDay. 🎙 In his welcoming speech, H.E. Mr Anatoly Borovik, Russian Ambassador, noted that the film, which was produced over 60 years ago, has lost none of its relevance. “To our great sorrow, not everyone has learned the lessons of history. The threat of a resurgence of hateful ideologies, which have already brought unbearable suffering to humanity, is higher than ever before”, the Head of the diplomatic mission stated. 📷 Concluding the event, the guests were shown photographic evidence of the revival of Nazism in modern Europe and Ukraine. H.E. Mr Suos Yara, Chairman of the Commission of National Assembly on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Information and Media, H.E. Mr Meas Kim Heng, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom, senior officials, scientific and cultural activists of Cambodia, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Phnom Penh, as well as the staff of the Russian Embassy attended the screening.
