Первой книгой этого года стал роман Here One Moment Лианы Мориарти (на самом деле в 2024 мне оставалось дочитать 100 страниц, но теперь посчитаю ее уже в этом году) Как всегда у писательницы, много героев и судеб, которые пересекаются самым неожиданным образом. А еще это отличная книжка для начала года с жизнеутверждающим предположением: fate can be fought. По традиции делюсь запомнившимися моментами: 📚You go to the doctor. You do your health checks. You don't ignore symptoms. You eat your vegetables. You exercise. You take your medication. You stay on the marked trails. You wear your seat belt. You wear your sunscreen. You check your blind spots. You look both ways. You check your brakes. You download a dating app. You go to that party. You apply for that job. You speak to that person. You study as hard as you are able. You invest sensibly. You won't necessarily win against fate, but you should at least put up a fight. 📚You can't always choose your future. Not in a world of risk and uncertainty. No matter what the self-help gurus tell you. You can only attempt to guide it in the right direction, like a willful horse, but accept there will be times when it will gallop off in a direction not of your choosing. No one can tell you what lies ahead with one hundred percent accuracy. #книги
