We are on lookout for an Environmental and Social Risk Manager (ESRM) to join Ipak Yuli Bank’s team in Tashkent. ESRM is accountable for assisting and developing and implementing environmental and social governance risk strategies across the Bank. He/She provides a comprehensive and diverse range of risk management expertise to business units. Key responsibilities: - Ensuring timely identification, monitoring and control of environmental and social risks (ESR). - Providing reports on environmental and social issues in accordance to agreements with international financial institutions and other parties. - Analyzing the environmental and social risk levels in the Bank's loan portfolio. - Reviewing the projects for compliance with national legislations, the requirements of international financial institutions, the Bank's regulations and international standards in the field of environmental protection, labor protection and public health. - Organizing a process to engage consultants for independent environmental and social impact assessments for Bank-financed investment projects. - Ensuring the coordination and integration of ESR management procedures with the lending process. - Organizing an advanced training of bank employees in the field of ESR management - Portfolio monitoring and providing technical advice to client companies and internal staff. - Preparing the Bank’s annual environmental performance report based on annual performance reports provided by client companies. Requirements: - Fluency in English. - Bachelor’s degree at least. - 2 - 3 years of relevant experience (banking experience preferred). - Knowledge of environmental standards (IFC, ADB and EBRD) is an asset. - Experience working directly with/consulting the business leaders on ESR strategy. - Superb relationship management skills, and the ability to develop strong interpersonal alliances at all levels, and connect with senior executives on both a business and a personal level. ‼️ Additional Information: Ipak Yuli Bank is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
