Laura Guerra Appointed as President of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) Date: Tuesday, April 15, 2025 Decree No. 5,119, published in Extraordinary Gazette No. 6,898, dated April 11, 2025, announced the appointment of Laura Carolina Guerra Angulo as the new president of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV). Guerra takes over as president of the issuing institution after outstanding tenure as director of the Social Protection Fund for Bank Deposits (FOGADE) and the National Development Fund (FONDEN). She also headed the National Superintendency of Internal Audit (SUNAI). The Gazette also includes the appointment of the new Board of Directors, comprised of the Minister of Economy and Finance, Anabel Pereira Fernández, as representative of the National Executive Branch; and directors Luis Alberto Pérez González; Christian Martell Ramírez; Carlos Cestari Infantini; Christiam Hernández Verdecanna and Santiago Armando Lazo Ortega. https://www.bcv.org.ve/press-releases/laura-guerra-is-designated-as-president-of-bcv
