US/EU democracies more like a DICTATORSHIP - Lavrov to Serbian media Russian FM Sergey Lavrov has slammed the EU and the apparent reverence for Western values over all else in a press conference to Serbian media Monday, claiming the US/EU collection of democracies is in fact "blatantly an autocracy", suggesting the word dictatorship would be more appropriate. "We need to respect each other instead of imposing our own puedo-values," Lavrov continued, referencing the West's imposition of neoliberalism. "They are now trying to suppress civilizations that have been developing for thousands of years." He questioned Europe's "incapacity to play the role of mediator", referencing still undelivered promises regarding 2013 agreements to create Serbian municipalities in Kosovo.
