hello guys, I'm here to announce a new(-ish) project I've made : Spendly so basically my gf needed a kind of budget tracker to use in place of some Google Sheets does this already exists ? yeah is there already hundred of similar projects on GitHub ? also yeah but I made my own anyway it looks good, mobile friendly, and have some cool charts to get an easy overview of your budgets and for once I forced myself to use proper tech and made it publicly available (unlike the previous project, a better Google maps where you can't create an account because the API ain't free) so go ahead, try it, test it, break it, tell me what doesn't work or what could be improved. it is very likely to never be shut down and free forever, as usual you can also self host it if you wish available at spendly.edm115.dev/ I'm eager to get your feedback 🥰 check the readme for an overview of how it works, the landing page have some more info and there is a demo as well in other news, I finally have a job interview next week, for a Python role wish me all the best, ofc, but this means that I will likely work hard on the unzipbot next week to sharpen my python skills again 2026 really is the year where I ship this fucking rework
