Confession: I won’t date/sleep with men who don’t go down That’s it; that’s the post. Since I was 14, I have had one very important rule: any man I date or sleep with has to go down on me. This is a hard boundary I’ve had for 50% of my life, and it will never change. I’ve offended people by saying it out loud though; I’ve been downvoted here on this very subreddit for saying it. But it holds fast; any guy who gives less than an enthusiastic “yes“ when I ask if they eat out, is an immediate “no“ to dating/sleeping with. I‘m sure I‘ll be downvoted on this post too, or be called shallow/screamed at that “men can have boundaries too!“ Next, I‘m sure it’ll be pointed out that a partner can use a vibrator or finger me (yawn; I can do that stuff myself and better) but it’s futile: I will never give any guy who doesn’t go down the time of day and it will never change. Ladies reading this: I hope you all make this your hard boundary too! Our pleasure is not negotiable Edit: I keep seeing well meaning people commenting how it’s okay for men to have boundaries, and I would just like to point out that this boundary is very likely to be rooted in entitlement and misogyny, and I advise you all to still not sleep/date a person like that even if you genuinely are one of the small percent of woman who don’t enjoy receiving oral.
