Any other women find JD Vance scary? When he wrote that book I thought OK he’s got a perspective about Appalachia, smart lawyer, good writer, etc. Then he grew the beard and started being vocal about his oppo to abortion and divorce, even for women in abusive marriages and now he’s making my skin crawl. It’s not just the politics. Plenty of guys I disagree with who I’m not viscerally afraid of. Maybe he just reminds me of someone personally? UPDATE: Well I see I’m not alone in this! thanks for all the comments and information. Listening to the If Books could Kill podcast episode tonight (“Hillbilly Eulogy”). So good.
