В детстве я, как и многие мальчишки тогда, очень любил сериал «Рыцарь дорог». Но, конечно, я уже был достаточно взрослым, чтобы понимать, что это фантастика, и не бывает машин, которые ездят сами. Если бы мне тогда сказали, что в 32 года я захвачу кусочек этой технологии, я бы прослезился от счастья.
Автопилот существует с нами уже какое-то время. У Tesla он по-настоящему крутой — меня как-то подвозили на Model X, и я убедился лично. Но, конечно, даже он не идёт ни в какое сравнение с полностью роботизированными автомобилями, которые сейчас испытывают многие крупные компании на тестовых трассах. Уверен, что я таки застану такси без водителя-человека.
У меня в машине очень примитивный ассистент — адаптивный круиз-контроль с радаром и система сканирования полосы. Работает только на трассе, только при хорошей видимости, наличии разметки и так далее. Но даже это очень впечатляет. Наверное, такое ощущение вызвано рулём, который вращается сам — традиционно в нашем сознании магия сильно ассоциируется с самодвижущимися предметами, живыми вещами и прочим подобным.
P.S. Бортовой компьютер не разрешает долго не держать руки на руле, начинает пищать. Типа небезопасно. Эх, а я уж хотел книжку почитать.
