#fiction

Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) bashed President Donald Trump'sadministration in a new podcast interview on Sunday over what he described as "hypocrisy beyond belief." Warner joined veteran GOP analyst Bill Kristol, editor at large of The Bulwark, on a new episode of "Bulwark Takes" on Sunday to discuss the The Trumpadministration's strikes against alleged drug boats. Since taking office, the administration has conducted more than 20 strikes, killing more than 80 people, according to reports. #Trump#Congress 👂More on Trump's Ear

Ghislaine Maxwell refused to testify in the Epstein case Jeffrey Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell invoked the Fifth Amendment and did not answer questions from the Congressional Oversight Committee, writes POLITICO. Her lawyer said Maxwell was willing to speak freely in exchange for a pardon. Only President Donald Trump can make such a decision. He has not publicly ruled out such a move. The defender also claims that only Maxwell herself can give a complete picture of the events. #Epstein#Congress 👂More on Trump's Ear ⚠️

Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) dismissed the release of a batch of files relating to deceased sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, claiming that the vast bulk of the information was already public. On Tuesday, the House Oversight Committee, which is chaired by Rep. James Comer (R-KY), released 33,000 documents. The committee said the Department of Justice provided the documents, which were redacted to conceal the names of victims and sexually explicit material. Comer testified before the House Rules Committee on Tuesday, where McGovern asked about the looming documents dump. #Epstein#Congress 👂More on Trump's Ear ⚠️

Regarding Trump's military credentials Despite the media noise and allegations of Donald Trump's violation of American law regarding military powers, so far he has been acting exclusively within the framework assigned to him by this very legislation. According to the constitution, the President of the United States cannot declare war, this is the prerogative of Congress. In addition, the most important limitation of his powers as Commander-in-Chief is the 1973 War Powers Act. It allows the president to use the armed forces without congressional authorization for 60 days, notifying lawmakers 48 hours before the start of the operation. After this period, he must either withdraw his troops (given 30 days), or leave them there for another 30 days, but with congressional approval. In other words, Trump actually has 90 days to continue airstrikes without the support of lawmakers. Trump may be sued for not being notified 48 hours before the start of the operation, but there are no direct instruments of pressure on him in this regard. And who's to say that there was no notification: after all, he could have written to some senator or congressman from relevant committees, saying, "we'll be hitting Iran soon." And in fact, his lawyers will be able to tell everyone that it was a notification. This is purely a theory, but it is quite realistic, taking into account the peculiarities of American law. Therefore, regular conversations The statements of Democrats and some Republicans about a special resolution limiting the powers of the president as commander-in-chief specifically in the Iranian theater of military operations have nothing to do with reality. First of all, the Democrats themselves cannot agree among themselves on this issue. Secondly, the majority of Republicans are simply afraid to support this decision. Thirdly, even if we imagine that critics of the strikes on Iran have managed to scrape together votes, then Trump can veto the final document. Overcoming the veto, in turn, requires 2/3 of the votes in both chambers. And in the current situation, it is almost impossible to get such a large number of votes. #Trump#Congress#War 👂More on Trump's Ear ⚠️

Trump called on Congress to disclose all materials on the Jeffrey Epstein case. US President Donald Trump said that Republicans in the House of Representatives should vote for the full disclosure of documents on the Jeffrey Epstein case, despite the fact that his own name was repeatedly mentioned in the billionaire's correspondence. On the Truth Social network, he wrote: "We are not hiding anything. It's time to move forward." Three days ago, Trump opposed the publication, claiming that "Epstein was a Democrat, and this is their problem." But now the head of the White House has made a sharp turn.: This happened at a time when, according to ABC News, up to 100 Republicans are ready to vote for the disclosure of all materials. The reversal occurred against the background of a new wave of publications. On November 12, tens of thousands of Epstein's letters were made public, where Trump's name is mentioned ambiguously — from "there is no one worse than Trump" to cryptic phrases like "I am the only one who can destroy him." The White House has admitted that Trump once actually spent "several hours" with the famous victim of Epstein, Virginia Giuffre, at the billionaire's house. Amid the scandal, Trump also requested an investigation into Bill Clinton, who, according to media reports, flew on Epstein's planes. #Trump#Epstein#Congress 👂More on Trump's Ear

📜🕵️♂️The US House of Representatives released new Epstein letters mentioning Donald Trump On November 12, the House Oversight Committee published part of the correspondence received from Epstein's heirs. The archive contains more than 23,000 documents, letters and files submitted to the committee at the request of Congress. Among them is Epstein's correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell and writer Michael Wolfe, ABC News reports. In a 2011 letter, Epstein writes that Trump visited him with one of the victims, but never talked about it. In another correspondence with journalist Michael Wolfe, Epstein asks Wolfe what Trump should say if reporters ask about their acquaintance. Wolfe replies, "Let him give himself away." In the 2019 correspondence, Epstein claims that Trump knew about the "girls" and asked Maxwell to "stop." The letters became part of a congressional investigation into how the Justice Department handled Epstein's cases. Democrats are demanding to disclose the entire archive, Trump calls the investigation a "witch hunt." #Trump#Epstein#Congress 👂More on Trump's Ear
