#life

🇷🇺12th December is an annual memorable date in Russia — the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation. On this day in 1993, the current basic law of our country was adopted by nation-wide voting. Despite the fact that the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation since 2005 is a weekday, the holiday is celebrated quite widely. Solemn sessions are held at the highest state level, meetings are organised in labour collectives and lessons in legal studies are conducted in educational institutions. We have collected for you some interesting facts about the basic law of our country: — the Constitution of the Russian Federation had more than a thousand authors; — copies of the Constitution were sent into space twice: in 1999 the document travelled on the Mir orbital station and in 2005 on board the ISS; — for 12 years the Constitution Day was a day off. Then it became a working day, but retained its importance. Happy holiday🤩 #spotlight

💤"You are responsible, forever, for what you have tamed". A famous quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupery's philosophical story "The Little Prince" which makes people think about important things. We hope that you too are close to the meaning of the aphorism, so we suggest you find out what day is today! Every year on the 30th of November World Pets Day is celebrated. It was established in Italy in 1931. ❤️The main goal is to develop in people a sense of responsibility for our lesser friends. We wonder how this day is celebrated all over the world? It's quite varied, actually: — pickets are held in defence of animals against cruelty; — flash mobs are organised to support the creation of animal shelters or clinics; — some owners buy their pets tasty treats or toys. By the way, in Russia the holiday has been widely spread since 2000 at the suggestion of the International Fund for Animal Welfare. Tell us, do you have a pet? Share photos of your fluffy tails (or not fluffy🦎😁) in the comments! #spotlight

This day should definitely start with a smile😊 Today, 8th November, the International KVN Union celebrates its 62nd birthday. In honour of this, catch a few facts about one of the most famous youth movements: 🔹The prototype of KVN was the programme "An Evening of Funny Questions"; 🔹To fully associate the show with television, it was named the same as the first Soviet black-and-white TV "KVN-49"; 🔹The first participants of the game in 1961 were teams from the Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages and the Moscow Engineering and Construction Institute; 🔹KVN was led by Alexander Maslyakov for many years, and an asteroid (5245 Maslyakov) discovered by the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory was even named in his honour; 🔹There are more than 7000 teams in the database of the International KVN Union. The Club of the Merry and Resourceful is a symbol of good mood, it gathers like-minded people from all corners of the world and proves that positive emotions know no boundaries! #spotlight

🌳On 14th October, the Day of Nature Reserve Workers is celebrated. Each of us should pay attention to this special holiday, because taking care of the environment is a common cause. Reserve workers are real enthusiasts and not indifferent people. Thanks to their efforts they manage to preserve unique landscapes and diversity of flora and fauna of our planet. 🐻❤️More than a century ago the history of the reserve business began. In 1916 in the Republic of Buryatia the Barguzinsky reserve was created for the preservation of sable. And in 1983 the first national parks became "Losiny Ostrov" (Moscow region) and "Sochi" (Krasnodar region). These are unique ecosystems that have been preserved thanks to the labour of ecologists, scientists and zoologists. There are 103 nature reserves, 59 wildlife sanctuaries and 50 national parks in Russia. The Amur tiger, bison, Far Eastern leopard, many species of flora and fauna are national treasures. The Big Arctic Reserve is considered to be the largest and the most severe in terms of climate. And the smallest — only 21 square kilometres — is the "Belogorye" Reserve in the Belgorod Region. Each protected area is unique, but at the same time very fragile. And our task is to protect and appreciate it🙏🏻 #spotlight

Special date: 5th October. Today is World Teachers' Day👩🏻‍🏫 This holiday is dedicated to those who shape the future of each person. Real teachers are able to interest the subject, to become a guide, a mentor. The profession of a teacher is considered to be one of the most important and responsible, on a par with a doctor or, for example, a fireman. A teacher is more than a job. It is a vocation that combines creativity, patience and knowledge. Now let's think back to our school days. Let's take out double sheets of paper and write down some interesting facts, historical and not only: 🏛️The duties of an educator in Ancient Greece included guarding, primary education and training. 🌍Today, Teacher's Day is celebrated in over 100 countries around the world. ❤️Children in Bangladesh have the greatest love for knowledge. Due to frequent floods, they cannot always walk to school, so they learn in boats — floating classrooms. 🇷🇺2023 is the Year of the Educator and Mentor in Russia. The annual professional skills competition "Teacher of the Year" is held. This is an opportunity to prove oneself, to share experience. The main award is a crystal Pelican. This bird is a symbol of nobility, love and mercy. We congratulate our teachers and wish them patience, energy and new achievements in such a difficult but interesting profession🤗 #spotlight

🙂 On the 19th of September 1982, the sequence "colon, hyphen and parenthesis" was first used on the web. That's how the most famous electronic symbol came into existence - the Smiley :-), which is celebrating its birthday today. A few entertaining facts about the emoticon: 🔹The first emoticons appeared in the 20th century. In an online forum, an American professor suggested two pictograms: :-) to indicate a joke, and :-( to accompany a not at all funny message. 🔹 There are five times more positive emoticons than sad ones. 🔹In 2017, an entire film "The Emoji Movie" was dedicated to emojis. 🔹 Every year Unicode Consortium accepts submissions for new emoji. Everyone is eligible to submit them. 🔹In February 2012, 3,737 people in India came together to create a smiling face 43.5 metres in diameter. The birthday of this cute symbol reminds us that no matter what happens, we can always find a reason to smile😊 And it's also a great occasion for fun, positive emotions and some interesting questions about humour and famous personalities. Hurry up and choose the right answer☺️ #spotlight
