Закончил третью книгу Лю Цысиня «Вечная жизнь смерти». Да, все три книги очень разные, и третья отличается от первых двух сильнее, чем вторая от первой. Интересно, что масштабы событий от книги к книге значительно увеличиваются, причём сейчас этот скачок ещё больше. Если первая книга концентрировалась вокруг человека и группы людей, вторая уже вокруг человечества и солнечной системы, третья охватывает ни много ни мало всю Вселенную, причём, в течение весьма продолжительного срока её жизни. Всё ещё много крутых идей, очень многое запоминается и хочется обсуждать. У автора крутейшие описания завораживающих космических городов. А ещё автор попытался в деталях рассказать, как выглядит четырёхмерное пространство, и это очень смело, на мой взгляд: пытаться описывать то, что невозможно описать и невозможно представить. Пожалуй, после завершения трилогии у меня только одна претензия: события развиваются так, что это обесценивает предыдущие события. И увеличение масштабов повествования и особенно концовка последней книги такие, что на их фоне всё уже пройдённое ощущение незначительным. Наверное, по-другому закончить и нельзя было, учитывая охват, но всё-таки. Тем не менее, это одно из лучшего, что я читал в области фантастики вообще за всю жизнь. Сейчас вроде как снимается кино: очень жду его. #fiction

January 6 is Epiphany or Theophany. Wise Men, or magi, visited baby Jesus with gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The Bible doesn’t say how many magi came or their names; tradition says three: Melchior, Caspar, and Balthazar. Some churches also celebrate Jesus’ baptism this day. Before December 25 was Christmas, January 6 was the main day to celebrate Jesus’ birth.
