В Москве 3 июня пройдет VK Open — конференция открытых платформ. В данном случае под открытыми платформами подразумевается стек площадок для приложений и игр от самих VK и, возможно, ещё каких-то. Участие бесплатное, есть вариант онлайн. Можно как угодно относиться к VK, но организовывать мероприятия они умеют. И хакатоны и митапы у них были, на моей памяти, всегда одни из лучших, а я много где побывал. Но на самом деле этот пост — реклама — потому что там буду и я в сессии вопросов-ответов, рассказывать о своём опыте конкурсной разработки. Приходите, увидимся :) #dev

This lock is necessary mainly because CPython's memory management is not thread-safe. (However, since the GIL exists, other features have grown to depend on the guarantees that it enforces.)

https://docs.python.org/3/library/atexit.html The #atexit module defines #functions to #register and #unregister cleanup functions. Functions thus registered are automatically executed upon normal interpreter termination. atexit runs these functions in the reverse order in which they were registered; if you register A, B, and C, at #interpreter#termination time they will be run in the order C, B, A.
