В технологической стартап-среде появился новый тренд: ИИ-гаджеты. Больше всего внимания на текущий момент привлекли два проекта. Humane AI Pin (справа) — коробочка размером с футляр для TWS наушников, вешается на одежду, имеет на борту камеру, микрофон и мини-проектор (высвечивающий простенькое монохромное меню на ладонь). Подразумевается, что ты можешь нажать кнопку и дальше либо задать устройству любой вопрос, в том числе требующий изображения с камеры (например "Что за модель автомобиля передо мной?"), либо попросить устройство сделать что-то, что просят у человека-ассистента: отправить почту, поставить напоминание и так далее. Понятно, что запросы через интернет уходят куда-то в GPT-подобную модель. Rabbit R1 (слева) — коробочка размером с пачку Беломора, имеющая дисплей, кнопку, камеру с микрофоном и скролл-колесо. Разработчики заявляют, что придумали нечто под названием Large Action Model (LAM) — специальную нейросетку, которой можно скормить интерфейс любого приложения, и она за тебя сможет в этом приложении выполнить любой набор действий, как если бы ты попросил об этом человека. Ну и функциональность ответов на вопросы тоже присутствует, конечно. Опять же, через симку с выходом в сеть. Так вот, примечательно то, что эти устройства, судя по всему, такой же маркетинговый фейк, как и почти всё, что связано с ИИ за последний год-два. Во-первых, они вышли чудовищно сырыми: оба уже продаются и оба содержат 5% от ожидаемых функций, да и те выполняют крайне плохо. Во-вторых, что важнее, они то себя позиционируют совсем не как краудсорсинговые проекты под возможное будущее развитие. Humane, например, привлёк и потратил почти $300 млн на обещаниях инвесторам, но продукт до сих пор неюзабелен, и ему нужно ещё больше денег и больше времени. R1 так вообще, по косвенным признакам, либо не содержит никакой LAM, либо она у разработчиков не завелась, поэтому они просто написали руками скрипты автоматизации действий для четырёх приложений, работающие очень топорно. Причём, и там и там идея то на самом деле нормальная: полноценный ИИ-ассистент, который может многое, для чего раньше использовали ассистента-человека. И у больших языковых моделей типа GPT вполне достаточно степени понимания речи, чтобы обладать потенциалом для реализации этой функции. Но правила капиталистического рынка диктуют необходимость начать рекламу и продажи раньше, чем гипотеза подтвердится. #gadgets

Since 2016, Ana has been writing a blog called ‘Ana seeks a dignified death’. In addition, she started a legal battle to decide to end her life ‘when the time comes’. The initiative was launched to reduce poverty and cut birth rates among the poor. While it was supposed to be consensual, women involved in the programme say otherwise. Most of the victims came from poor indigenous communities. Josefa was at home when nurses came and forced her to go to the hospital. She still recalls waking up after the procedure and seeing other women crying out their husbands’ names in pain. In the following years, Josefa suffered from infections and cancer.
