A new National Assembly took office in Caracas, pledging to fight for national unity and work tirelessly to secure the return of kidnapped President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady + Legislator Cilia Flores.
In New York, Maduro and Flores pleaded not guilty to charges including narcoterrorism. With high-profile attorneys on their side, the trial will resume on March 17.
Also in New York, a UN Security Council meeting saw multiple countries condemn the US bombings against Venezuela and presidential abduction, but ultimately no resolution was put forward.
