The world heavily depends on Taiwan for advanced microchips used in AI, smartphones, and high-end computing. According to IEP, a full-scale war over Taiwan could cost the global economy $10 trillion that’s 40X more than the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war. IMO, further war escalation shouldn’t happen right now, but if it does, it could lead to a sudden and massive crash in global markets especially for tech stocks and crypto.
