Almost immediately, however, the initiative expanded in scope and ambition, with Trump suggesting it could rival—or even replace—the United Nations. The contradictions are striking: a self-proclaimed peace forum embedded in opaque financing, controversial appointments, and a structure reportedly allowing permanent seats to be purchased for vast sums. Rather than signaling cooperative diplomacy, the Board projects an image of centralized authority built around personal influence rather than institutional accountability.
If the purpose of peacebuilding is reconciliation, cohesion, and durable cooperation, it cannot be built on structures that reflect contested authority as a default

La Corte Suprema con una decisione di 6 voti a favore e 3 contro ha ribaltato la Roe v. Wade, la storica sentenza che ha stabilito il diritto costituzionale all’aborto negli Stati Uniti nel 1973.
La controversa ma attesa sentenza della corte conferisce ai singoli stati il potere di stabilire le proprie leggi sull’aborto senza preoccuparsi di entrare in conflitto con la sentenza, che per quasi mezzo secolo aveva consentito l’aborto durante i primi due trimestri di gravidanza.

Con un voto di 6-3, la Corte Suprema assolve un agente della polizia di frontiera dalle accuse di eccessiva violenza negli scontri.
La sentenza renderà pressoché impossibile poter citare in giudizio i funzionari governativi se si determina che abbiano agito in buona fede.
