While more than 4 million more children were vaccinated globally in 2022 compared to 2021, there were still 20 million children who missed out on one or more of their vaccines. Parents/caregivers are urged to visit any primary health care centre to get their children/wards up to date with their vaccination. #WorldImmunisationWeek

Of the 3,036 confirmed cases of #diphtheria recorded so far in 2024, most of the cases occurred among children aged 1 - 14 years, with those aged 5-14 years bearing most of the brunt of the disease. Parents and caregivers should ensure that their children/ward are fully vaccinated against #diphtheria. #StaySafeStayHealthy #VaccinesWork #AfricanVaccination #WorldImmunisationWeek
