Barouha village slowly losing it's Alawite population..
The young Alawite man, Haidar Al-Assaad (born 2001), from the Alawite community in the village of Barouha near the city of Talkalakh in western Homs countryside, was killed after being shot in front of his parents by forces belonging to the de facto authority in Damascus.
This incident occurred amid harassment by the village's Sunni residents against them, who had previously thrown stones at their house and set fire to the car of the young man's uncle.
The young man was a graduate of mechatronics engineering and had never served in the army.

Alawite Young Man Killed in #Homs
Amer Al-Youssef, a young #Alawite man, was killed after being shot by gunmen affiliated with HTS-led militias who were riding a motorcycle.
The attack took place near Al-Malja Park in the Akrama neighborhood, a predominantly Alawite area of Homs, on Friday, February 6, 2026.

This is just one of the almost daily deadly attacks targeting Alawites and other minorities in Homs city, most of these attacks happen in the presence of regime checkpoints, also have known inciters and perpetrators yet to this moment none of the terrorists have been apprehended, which proves the regime's connection to these attacks
#Homs: The young Alawite man Mohammed Al-Ashqar, was killed after being shot by a terrorist group near the “Al-Kutaib Cemetery” in #alSabeel neighborhood in Homs, resulting in his immediate death. The incident occurred today, May 1, 2026.
📌This coincides with incitement campaigns against Alawites led by media figures and activists loyal to the STg across social media platforms for several days, attributing all crimes of the Assad regime collectively to the Alawite community.
Over the past 3 days, the kidnapping of two Alawite girls one of them a minor, has been recorded (not yet reported by us), along with the killing of three young Alawite men to date, in addition to provocations in Alawite villages in the rural outskirts of Baniyas.
#Homs: Mass Dismissals Target #Alawite Employees at Construction and Development Company in Homs
A decision has been issued to dismiss approximately 400 employees from the Construction and Development Company, the majority of whom are Alawites, in the city of Homs, after 15 to 25 years of service.
The decision, justified under the pretext of “lack of need,” has sparked widespread anger and concern. Many view it as a sectarian measure aimed at economic pressure and collective punishment against the Alawite community, as part of what critics describe as a broader policy of marginalization and impoverishment carried out by #HTS since assuming control in Syria.
📌 It is worth noting that the sectarian authorities have dismissed more than 10,000 Alawite employees nationwide. In many of these decisions, only Alawite employees were targeted, while employees from other sects were excluded, an approach widely described as discriminatory and systematic.
#Syria : #Alawite engineer executed two days after his arrest
#Homs: Engineer Osama Abdul-Mu’in Khaddour (أسامة عبد المعين خضور) was killed after being arrested on December 30 near “Issa al-Fahli” School in the city of Homs by #HTS-led General Security militias.
Despite the family receiving assurances that he would be released, they found him dead today, January 1, at Al-Waer Hospital in Homs. According to local sources, his only “charge” was belonging to the Alawite community.
#Homs: Four #Alawite Nurses Killed, Fifth Wounded
An armed terrorist group affiliated with the #HTS-led General Security militias targeted a taxi in front of Al-Kindi Private Hospital. The vehicle was transporting Alawite hospital staff and nurses. The attack resulted in four being killed and one seriously wounded.

#Homs: Alawite Taxi Driver Shot Dead by Gunmen in #Bayada Neighborhood
Mr. Samer Al-Jamal was killed after heading out for work this afternoon, Thursday, April 9, 2026, while driving a taxi cab. His body was discovered on the Al-Bayada road in the city of Homs. He had been summarily executed with a gunshot to the head.
Mr. Samer Al-Jamal was a resident of the Al-Zahraa neighborhood in Homs and was a member of the #Alawite community.
Systematic Attacks on Religious Minorities' Shrines and Places of Worship in Syria
W #Hama: An extremist terrorist group has destroyed a religious shrine belonging to the #Alawite community, known as “Sheikh Muhammad al-Maghribi,” located in the village of #Asila in Masyaf, in the Ghab Plain in the rural countryside of Hama Governorate, yesterday 21 March 2026.
#Alawite: It is worth noting that attacks on Alawite religious shrines began following the fall of the regime, reaching their peak during the #massacres carried out against Alawites on the Syrian coast by al-Jolani’s forces. Incidents of assault on Alawite shrines have continued repeatedly, to the point where barely a month passes without an incident involving the bombing, desecration, or burning of shrines across various Alawite regions.
#Druze: Similarly, shrines belonging to the Druze community were subjected to comparable attacks, including vandalism, arson, and bombings, during the massacres of July 2025 in #Suwayda, carried out by the forces of al-Jolani’s terrorist regime.
#Christians: A church in #Damascus was also bombed in June 2025, in addition to attacks on churches in #Homs and the rural Homs region in the #alQusayr area. The massacres that took place in As-#Suwayda likewise saw the burning and destruction of three churches.
