News: Over 9 Million Citizens Register to Vote; Action Taken Against Election Officials Who Are Party Members – #Election_Board —- Addis Ababa – The National Election Board of #Ethiopia (#NEBE) announced that 9,036,994 citizens have registered to vote for the #7th_general#election since 7 March, 2026. The board also confirmed that administrative measures have been taken against election officials found to be members of political parties. NEBE Chairperson #Melatework Hailu told the media on 13 March, 2026 that around 600,000 of the registered voters used the modern application to register. According to Melatework, voter registration materials have arrived at 46,757 of the 52,773 polling stations nationwide, and the registration process is proceeding successfully.
