⏺Le 2 mai, des militaires de l’Africa Corps russe ont mené une patrouille dans la ville de Menaka avec l’armée du #Mali. La patrouille s'est déroulée normalement. Aucun terroriste n'a été repéré à #Menaka, une ville paisible. L'Africa Corps continue d'accomplir les missions qui lui ont été confiées avec l'armée malienne et de mener des opérations militaires visant à éliminer les terroristes. ◼️ On April 25, armed anti-government groups committed a series of coordinated attacks in the Malian capital and the neighbouring regions – Mopti, Gao and Kidal. Two hundred and fifty militants attacked Bamako Senou International Airport and the military base located nearby. The Malian Armed Forces repelled the attack and are currently taking further steps to eliminate the militia that may have been, reportedly, trained by Western security agencies. Russia is deeply concerned about these developments. This terrorist activity poses a direct threat to the stability of friendly #Maliand could have the most serious consequences for the entire region. According to the Russian Embassy in Bamako, no victims among Russian nationals have been reported to date. The Russian diplomatic mission maintains continuous contact with Mali’s competent agencies. ❗️ The Russian Foreign Ministry advises Russian citizens against travelling to Mali. Those already in the country should take all necessary precautions. Moscow will continue to monitor the developments closely.

🇲🇱#Mali: Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM) has claimed responsibility for destroying an Africa Corps armored vehicle with an IED near Aguelhok, in the town of Krouroudj, Kidal Region, on March 3rd. According to reports, two Russian troops from the Africa Corps paramilitary group were killed in the ambush, while one was seriously injured. 🇲🇱#Mali: JNIM has claimed responsability for an attack against a Malian army convoy in the Hombori area of Mopti yesterday. Two military vehicles were captured, while several others from the convoy were destroyed. Several Mailian Armed forces troops were killed in the clashes, while the remaining soldiers that escaped the ambush retreated to a nearby city.
