🎥 В преддверии Дня народного единства Генеральное консульство России в Кейптауне провело кинопоказ документально-художественно фильма «Пётр I: Последний царь и первый император», снятого режиссером Андреем Кравчуком к 350-летию со дня рождения первого российского императора. Кинолента повествует о значимых событиях жизни одного из наиболее ярких правителей России: как последний царь взошел на престол, как отвоевал выход к морю, создал армию и флот и всего за несколько десятилетий вывел Российскую империю в мировые лидеры. Почетными гостями мероприятия стали Министр культуры, искусства и спорта ЮАР Гейтон Маккензи, депутаты Парламента, представители консульского корпуса, академических и деловых кругов, СМИ. 👏🏻 Открывая кинопоказ, Генеральный консул России в Кейптауне Алексей Маленко отметил, что именно знание истории других народов и государств является гарантией построения надежного диалога, укрепления взаимопонимания. В завершение А.В.Маленко подчеркнул значимость наращивания российско-южноафриканских связей в сфере культуры. ——————————————————— 🎥 On the eve of the National Unity Day, the Consulate General of Russia in Cape Town held a screening of a documentary-feature film "Peter I: The Last Tsar and the First Emperor", shot by director Andrei Kravchuk for the 350th anniversary of the birth of the first Russian emperor. The film tells about significant events in the life of one of the most prominent Russian rulers: how the last tsar ascended the throne, won the access to the sea, created an army and a navy and in a just few decades brought the Russian Empire to the world leaders. The Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture of South Africa Hon. Gayton McKenzie, members of Parliament, representatives of the consular corps, academic and business circles and media were guests of honour at the event. 👏🏻 Opening the film screening, the Consul General of Russia in Cape Town Mr. Alexei Malenko noted that knowledge of the history of other nations and states is a guarantee of building intensive dialogue and strengthening mutual understanding.
