🖊OPINION | Venezuela After January 3: A Nation Standing in the Storm A solidarity brigade traveled to Venezuela amid what residents described as a “storm” of US attacks, sanctions, and pressure, culminating in the January 3 operation that kidnapped President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores. Delegates reported that Venezuelans are still processing the shock, with banners and weekly protests calling for the leaders’ return.
