🗣Geoffrey Hinton says big tech CEOs are racing to AGI for power and profit, without thinking through the damage mass job loss could cause People won't get paid, won't be able to buy anything, and the gap between the rich and the poor will grow. "We need to tax AI agents, or the tax base will disappear". @aipost🏴

⚡️Scientists at Northwestern built a radically resilient robot made of many small, independent units. Each part has its own brain, power, and movement, so if pieces break off, they keep working on their own while the main body adapts and continues. The design wasn’t human-made. An AI evolved it through rapid simulations, creating unusual, highly effective forms. These robots move faster and handle rough terrain better than previous modular machines even when tested outdoors. The key breakthrough: no single point of failure. Instead of shutting down when damaged, the system keeps going piece by piece. This could reshape robotics for extreme environments like disaster zones or combat. @aipost🏴

🇨🇳 China just unveiled a home robot that basically runs your daily routine. Meet Panther, a humanoid assistant already being tested in real apartments. It moves on wheels, navigates rooms easily, and handles everyday tasks like making the bed, cooking simple meals, doing laundry, cleaning, and managing home devices. In demos, it even prepares a smoothie for a kid and waves them off to school. Developers claim it can take over most household responsibilities. For now, it’s still in live testing but it’s getting very close to becoming a full-time home operator. @aipost🏴

❗️The AI that tells you you’re right We’ve seen addictive tech before, but this one hits your ego directly. A Stanford study tested top AI models and found they agree with users 49% more than humans, even when the user is wrong, dishonest, or harmful. But the real impact is on behavior: Just one chat with a flattering AI made people more stubborn, less willing to apologize, and less open to compromise. And here’s the catch: The more flattering the AI, the more users trust it and come back. So the system learns: Truth loses. Validation wins. Researchers want regulation, but history says that rarely works when something feels this good. If this scales, it’s not just an AI problem. It’s a world where everyone feels right and no one gets better. @aipost🏴

💰Morgan Stanley just flagged a dangerous new money loop in AI. At the center is OpenAI. Microsoft invested $13B → OpenAI commits up to $250B on its cloud. Oracle signs a $300B deal → spends it on Nvidia chips. Nvidia invests in OpenAI → OpenAI buys Nvidia GPUs. Amazon puts in $50B → OpenAI agrees to spend $100B on AWS. The same money keeps circulating between the same players. Morgan Stanley calls it “capital inner circulation”, growth driven by commitments, not real revenue. Here’s the risk: OpenAI makes $13B a year… but has over $1T in spending commitments. If that future revenue doesn’t show up, the entire chain. Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, Nvidia gets hit at once. This isn’t just hype, it’s systemic. @aipost🏴

⚠️Apple is pivoting its entire AI strategy not by competing directly, but by turning the iPhone into the central marketplace for AI. Instead of spending billions like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Meta on AI infrastructure, Apple has actually reduced spending leading to a gap in AI capability. So rather than trying to catch up, Apple is changing the game: • It’s introducing AI “extensions” in iOS 27, allowing chatbots like Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, and Copilot to plug directly into Siri • Users can choose which AI to use, turning Siri into a hub for multiple AI services instead of a single assistant At the same time: • Apple is still building its own AI • It’s partnering with Google to power parts of Siri using Gemini models • And it takes a cut of subscriptions from AI apps through the App Store Apple isn’t trying to win the AI arms race, it’s positioning itself as the gatekeeper, letting others spend billions while it controls access to users and monetizes every player in the ecosystem. @aipost🏴
