Now DeepSeek is reportedly raising $7B at a $51.5B valuation with backing tied to state-supported capital and Tencent. But the real story is the rollout: • 72 Chinese local governments are already using DeepSeek internally • Shenzhen deployed it to 20,000 government workers • Hospitals are using it for clinical support • Universities run it on supercomputers • Hotel chains and police departments are deploying it operationally At the same time, China is pouring billions into AI infrastructure, subsidies, and compute access across the country.
