Hello beautiful souls ✨🧚🏾 This picture was taken 7 years ago during my collaboration with a designer's clothing store in Saint Petersburg. I had a small presentation of my brand. I remember how excited I was and how I spent lots of time developing my collections in order to find a store which I could collaborate with. I remember I was going around Saint Petersburg clothing stores to ask for collaborations, I was carrying my portfolio with me and I had some of my collection to show as an example. It wasn’t successful because my collections were different from any other designers which the clothing stores had, but finally, after 2 years, I received a message from a new space where they were interested in my collection and we collaborated. The disadvantage of this collaboration is that they lost interest in my collection after a few months of our collaboration. I would visit the clothing store often to check up on my collection. A few times on my visits I saw my items in very bad condition, and they were pushed behind the back of the store where the changing room is. I immediately collected my collection and ended the collaboration. But hey, I’m grateful for every experience because it drove me to do better and carry on with my path of clothing design. I took it as motivation. Я ежедневно разговариваю со своей мамой , и сегодня наш разговор был о суданцах, о том, как люди жили и относились друг к другу в Судане. Я родилась в Хартуме, столице Судана, и помню, что в детстве все были добрыми и дружелюбными. Район наш был одной большой семьёй, друзья считались членами семьи, дома всегда были открыты друг другу, всех приветствовали, кормили и принимали. Дети Судана раньше играли вместе, не различая, из какой вы части Судана. Соседи заботились о детях друг друга и помогали семьям друг друга, была теплота, была доброта, была безопасность, была справедливость, была любовь, было сообщество и было единство. Today I’m sharing with you a bit about my roots , vintage photos of Sudan. Sudan used to be called the Land of opportunities and kind people. I talk daily with my mother and today our talk was about people of Sudan how people used to live and treat each other in Sudan. I was born in Khartoum, capital of Sudan ,and I remember during my childhood everyone was kind and friendly. The neighborhood felt like family members, friends were considered to be members of the family ,the houses were always open to each other, everyone was welcomed and fed and taken care of. The children of Sudan used to play together without the differentiation of which part of Sudan you are from. The neighbors took care of each other's children and helped each other's families, there was warmness, there was kindness, there was safety, there was fairness, there was love, there was community and there was unity. I’ll continue to share beautiful memories and stories of Sudan because is important for one to exchange knowledge of each culture to learn and educate each other 🌞
