I started looking around for places where I feel myself connected with and my interests, and learn about their activities and how I can collaborate with them. I had to be very brave and confident to go around and introduce myself and what I do, if my service is useful or needed. It was a bit difficult for me. I was nervous and thinking about how I was going to do it and from where I'd start, because it is like starting from 0, trying to find everything out, but the important thing is that I started and did what is necessary. Finally, I found my place and I did my first workshop painting on textiles with one of the best-known community service associations, which was established in 1987 for English-speaking people by the U.S. Ambassador's wife, Betty Atherton. It is a multicultural place where families and towns can come and enjoy the full service provided by the community. Such a lovely place and energy.
