UPDATE 1/2: After further investigation, the exploiter was able to drain all of the liquidity from R0X Token on both the BSC and ETH networks. We are still in ongoing investigations with PeckShield at this time. As a result, trading has remained halted for other SmartDeFi tokens. UPDATE 2/2: We understand that the last couple of days have been stressful for the community and for the team. While trading on FEGex is down, we have migrated the remaining liquidity (511 BNB and 181T FEG) to the FEG liquidity on PancakeSwap. This will help stabilize the price as well as lower the price impact of each buy/sell transaction. FEG Community, There has been an exploit on R0X Token BSC & ETH. All tokens on SmartDeFi run on the same contract meaning they are potentially vulnerable. The FEG DEV team is working along side Peckshield and making progress to secure SD tokens. As per Peckshield recommendation we are working on halting trading on SmartDeFi contracts. *Please be advised that the trading of FEG on PancakeSwap and Uniswap is safe and has NOT been impacted by this incident in any way* We will provide more updates as investigations continue and will be sharing a large scale recovery strategy that's under development! FEGrox has been working on a new Swap Contract with Peckshield and the rest of the DEV team. The Swap-to-Swap (S2S) functionality has been removed, this is the only aspect of the contract they used to exploit us. *note* SmartSwap trading within the contract will still be a function, only the ability to send fwrap funds from contract to contract is removed. There are several new layers of security as per FEGrox so rest assured we have done all we can to prevent this from happening again to FEG or others on FEGex. Testing is underway with this new Swap Contract and once completed we will move liquidity as necessary to get FEGeth and FEGbsc trading once again on FEGex! The FEG team would like to keep the community updated on what had transpired on May 15, 2022 at approximately 8:20 PM (UTC). There was an exploit in the Swap-to-Swap (S2S) functionality within the FEGtoken swap contracts on BSC and ETH. Trading of FEG on FEGex was temporarily halted immediately after notification of unusual activity as a safety measure until further investigation of the root cause was done. Trading on PancakeSwap and Uniswap continued without any issues as well as on centralized exchanges that hold FEGtoken. The FEG Development team is working on updating the swap contracts with S2S functionality removed as per discussions with Peckshield. The liquidity will be migrated and spread across the main pairs, at this point trading will resume on FEGex. All Tx steps in the liquidity migration process will be provided. We have identified the issue, there was an exploit in the Swap2Swap functionality on the Swap contract. We will be removing this feature moving forward so that there is no possible way to exploit the swap contract. There appears to have been an isolated exploit to the FEGtoken swap contracts on the BSC and ETH networks on FEGex. Trading of FEG on FEGex will temporarily be halted until further investigation of this is done by the DEV team.
