🟢Development of the renewable geothermal energy in Uzbekistan (Ўзбекистонда қайта тикланадиган геотермал энергияни ривожлантириш) PI: Irina Sidorova Grant amount: 600 000 USD HI: Institute of Geology and Geophysics named after Kh.M. Abdullaev Grant implementation period: 27 months (10.08.2022-10.11.2024) ➡️ OBJECTIVE: The goal of the subproject is a detailed study of the deep structure of anomalous geothermal areas in the Gissar and Aral regions of Republic Uzbekistan. Anomalous areas of Heat Flow Density were identified at the stage of preliminary studies on the territory of the Republic. A complex of geophysical works planned to be carried out on the studied areas, including Seismic, Magnetotelluric and Gravity exploration. The results of geophysical studies, used in combination with geological data, will allow the construction of three-dimensional depth models of the structure of the studied areas with the location of the heat source and provide targets for test (exploration) drilling. 🔼ACCOMPLISHMENTS: - Topogeodetic (contract work), gravimetric, seismic and magnetotelluric geophysical studies were carried out on the Gulistan area, the Urgench area, in the Aral and the Gissar regions. The results obtained were: - maps of the anomalous gravimetric field, - three-dimensional gravimetric model of the petro-reservoir down to a depth of 5 km, - geodensity and geoelectric sections, - catalog of seismic events, - three-dimensional geothermal model with coordinates of test wells in the study areas. 📱https://t.me/Munis_Project 📱www.youtube.com/@MUNISProject 🌐https://wbgrants.uz
