Cherry Orchard out in strength this evening to oppose the industrial estate units 64 & 65 being used to house asylum seekers. However, Cllr Hazel De Nortúin from People Before Profit has posted on facebook that the document circulating online which prompted the rally was a planning application from over a year ago which was turned down. She then took aim at her constituents for 'causing mayhem'. "I've been looking and some of the people commenting and sharing this fake document and you know that you haven't been the model neighbour and caused your own mayhem in this community so why don't we start there. AGAIN, I'll say. As a women living in Ireland, the most unsafe place for a woman to be is in her own home. Stop trying to scare people into lynching someone when I've never seen half these people uplift their community."
