Independent councillor William O'Leary is top of the tally in Fermoy on 18%. O'Leary left Fianna Fáil after he was reprimanded for accusing asylum seeker accommodation providers of being worse than the absentee English landlords of times past at a rally outside Abbeyville House. "These people are the biggest traitors out of everyone the way they're selling out communities, and it's easy for them to sit away wherever they are and not give a shite about the people of Fermoy." Derek Blighe is on 5%. There's a lot of suggestion that he's having a more successful EU election. 🔗echolive.ie 👉🏻Join Late Stage Ireland

There's a quiet shock at the RDS count centre over the disarray caused by the rise of support for pro-Irish candidates who will take a substantial vote share although many will struggle to overcome the widespread foreign interference in the elections. "Sinn Féin are in a shock. It's breaking up on them all over the place ... seats that were assured ... Left-wing parties are under pressure and under attack." Speaking to Newstalk is Cllr Mannix Flynn. 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland

Fine Gaelers have told John McGuirk that while the overall turnout is similar to the last elections, they're very worried that turnout is disproportionately up in working-class areas of Dublin but down middle-class areas. 🔹 Clontarf is down 7 percentage points 🔹Artane-Whitehall is up 10 pp 🔹Donaghmede is up 5 pp 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland
