The Ayutthaya Kingdom existed from 1351 to 1767 in present-day Thailand. It was founded by King Uthong. Foreign accounts called it “Siam.” Its people called themselves Tai and their kingdom Krung Tai, meaning “Tai country.” The capital stood where three rivers met. The Sukhothai Kingdom was a Siamese kingdom in Mainland Southeast Asia. It was centered in north-central present-day Thailand. It existed from 1238 to 1438. It later became part of the Ayutthaya Kingdom. The kingdom grew strong under rulers like Si Inthrathit and Ram Khamhaeng.
