🇦🇪Abu Dhabi Unveils Plan for the World’s First Fully AI-Native Government by 2027
Abu Dhabi has launched the Government Digital Strategy 2025-2027, committing AED13 billion to create a fully AI-native government across all digital services. The plan, led by the Department of Government Enablement (DGE), will digitize and automate 100% of government processes, achieve full adoption of sovereign cloud computing, and implement over 200 AI solutions across public services. A unified ERP platform will streamline operations, while new frameworks will set cybersecurity and digital governance standards.
The strategy includes large-scale AI upskilling through the "AI for All" program and partnerships with the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, ATRC, and G42. By 2027, it is expected to contribute over AED24 billion to GDP, create 5,000 jobs, and position Abu Dhabi as a global leader in AI-driven governance and sustainable digital transformation.
