The three were shot dead on 02 April 2026. Two of the victims, including a nurse, were working at Abyot Fana Primary Health Center in North Mecha, while the third was employed at a private healthcare facility. The incident occurred amid escalating conflict in the Amhara region between government forces and armed groups in the region.
